This poster was a project for my Graphic Design class. We had to create a poster for our favorite song, and I chose "This is Gospel" by Panic! at the Disco. For my first few drafts, I tried to make the heart look very illustrative, with text sitting above and below it. As I progressed, I changed the heart to a more realistic look because it added more weight and focus to it. I also superimposed the name of the band onto the heart because I felt that I needed to incorporate the text more. I made the text colorful against the dark background to convey the emotion of the song- although it's a very fun and upbeat song, the lyrics are very serious.
