In this project, I developed three book covers that worked together as a series. The subjects of my covers are Paul Cezanne, Henri Matisse, and Vincent van Gogh. I used some of their most famous paintings that feature prominent use of primary colors and created designs that presented their art in a new way while still being recognizable as their work. For my first drafts, I experimented with overlapping circles, but I felt that it made the cover look too busy. In my final covers, I made the main shape a diamond with a black background to make the art stand out.
